Awww.. feeling unloved?

From 365gay.com (via cwnews)

“When considering Pope Benedict’s discussion of the different dimensions of the concept of love, it is striking that in so many ways the Catholic Church fails to love lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people, said Debbie Weill, executive director of Dignity.

"His letter describes in considerable detail several facets of God’s love, which the Church intentionally chooses not to extend to LGBT persons, in direct contrast to the idea that ‘Deus Caritas Est:’ God is Love”." [emphasis mine]

I'ts hard to explain the difference of loving the sinner and hating the sin, if the sinner cannot separate the sin from their own identity as a child of God. We were not made to be servants of our carnal appetites, to the point where we cannot hear about the love of God without receiving it as a rebuke.

Kyrie Eleison.

Also, I'd like to add that the liberal culture equates affirmation of behavior with love... which it isn't.

The message of Christianity runs completely contrary to their view of love, where we know that we are NOT good enough and need Christ in order to be saved.

Also, #3 of the NH's laws states that for leftists, 6000 years of human history means absolutely nothing now that they are here. That is why they expect 2000 years of Christianity needs to be rewritten so they can feel better about their sins.

I wonder why so many caught in depravity see their depravity as freedom instead of the slavery it really is. How has vision failed that freedom now means slavery? It sounds like we've been in the world of Orwell's 1984 too long that the terminology gets so twisted. Kind of like "Arbeit mach Frei" that was written over the gates of Auschitz.

Remember in the novel how the Ministry of Love was a place of execution and torture? After a visit there, the only person that one was induced to love was Big Brother. It was perverse.

People never seem to get it. It is not the Church's job to pat you on the back, they are here to save our souls.

If the Pope saw a blindfolded man walking towards a cliff, is it better that he not hurt his feelings and encourage to continue on, or is it preferable for him to shout "STOP YOUR GOING THE WRONG WAY!"

Great post Jimbo, great blog!
