New Jersey beach sand,
cleaner than I remember,
ashtray no longer.
The family got to frolic in the turbid Atlantic this afternoon, along a stretch of private beach (no one told us to leave). Not a bad way to spend a day.
Pizza in shore points of New Jersey has a character unlike most other spots in the country. It must be a blend of influences from NYC and Philly (and the local Italians and Sicilians). Pizza Hut, Papa John's, and Dominos all pale in comparison, capice.
